Qualifications include:
- Registered Nurse (RN or LPN) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a license as required by the state of Maryland.
- CPR and First Aid certified with experience in First Aid and Emergency Management and training in using AED.
- Community health knowledge.
- Experience working with illnesses and injuries in both children and adults.
- Knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses and allergies and how they must be treated and accommodated in camp.
- Ability to read and follow directions on medication labels, health forms, physician orders, and parent letters.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with parents, children, and peers.
- Ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and electronically with parents, staff, and administration about camper health concerns.
- Prior experience and comfort with working with school aged children with a wide range of abilities.
- Ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards within the camp program.
- Ability to move equipment and supplies as required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of typical development in school-aged children.
Priority will be given to candidates who are available the entire camp season starting on June 16 going through mid-August

Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $6,000-9000 (total pay for the regular camp season). Salary is determined based on experience including previous experience at Lessans Camp JCC.
