The Pathway Director of Programs is a member of the mid-level leadership team who manages, implements, and provides oversight of all Pathway’s programs, services, events, employment trainings, and workshops to include obtaining resources and partnerships. The Director of Programs will be in the community attending meetings and events related to their role and representing Pathway. In addition, the Director of Programs directly supervises the Program Coordinator and leads the Events Committee. The ideal candidate will have non-profit experience and a strong knowledge of the far east side and Marion County.

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Event and Program Coordination

  • Accountable for managing all program events and maintaining the intra-office and community event calendar.
  • Implements and executes grant-related outcomes specific to programming.
  • Coordinates all scheduling and registration for programs and events.
  • Manages and attends all events.
  • Sets up and breaks down spaces for programs, events, and training sessions.
  • Leads the Events Committee.
  • Manages Seniors Coalition Committee providing direct staff oversight.
  • Supports marketing and public relations efforts for the organization and its programs.

Community Engagement

  • Represents Pathway in the community by attending and actively engaging in relevant meetings and events.
  • Conducts community street outreach.
  • Assists with the Youth Council, including attending its meetings.
  • Pre-screens potential program partners and collaboration opportunities.
  • Pre-screens solicitations for marketing to Amber Woods Apartments.

Volunteer and Resource Coordination

  • Assists with the coordination and management of the volunteer program.
  • Identifies, coordinates, and provides resources for residents and clients.
  • Coordinates program partners to support various organizational initiatives.

Operational Support

  • Assists with building management, including opening, closing, and general upkeep as needed.
  • Assists with billing processes.
  • Coordinates organizational meetings.
  • Pre-screens and directs calls and messages for the organization.
  • Assists with the purchase of supplies, materials, and performs errands as needed.

Micro Transit Program

  • Assists with scheduling for the Micro Transit program.
  • Provides daily scheduling support for the Micro Transit program.
  • Performs day-to-day tasks for the Micro Transit program, including data reporting and support services that aid the Operations and Field Coordinator.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Knowledge of Indianapolis and Far-Eastside area required
  • Must have a Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of Four-Six (4-6) Years of Experience in programs and community resource management as well as non-profit management
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Must have a Reliable Vehicle with Current Vehicle Insurance and Valid Driver’s License
  • Full-Time: Must be able to work 40 Hours per Week
  • Must work some Weekends and Evenings (minimum of 12-15) 
  • Hourly Pay Rate: Negotiable Based on Education & Experience
