Therapist
Purpose: Provide counseling, assessment and supportive services to children, adolescents, families, and young adults through the Counseling program in the Oklahoma City and/or Tulsa offices; provide observation and consultation to childcare centers in conjunction with the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness (OPSR) contract.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy for a caseload of 6-10 individuals and families
- Provide on-site observation, consultation, and educational group classes regarding trauma-informed care to early childhood providers in accordance with the OPSR contract.
- Maintain compliance with OPSR contract requirements
- Manage and maintain appropriate case files per agency policy;
- Attend and assist with special events as assigned;
- If based in Oklahoma City, must be able to travel to Tulsa 1 day per week to provide consultations
- Other tasks as assigned

Financial Justification for the Position:
The position will allow for the growth of the Counseling program and will also be supported by the OPSR contract. There are sufficient funds for this position.
Work Hours
Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., with one day allotted for 2 after-hours appointments or 1 consultation

This position reports to the Clinical Director

Education/Training
- Master’s level degree in social work, psychology or a human services related area of study
- Clinical licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of Oklahoma under LCSW, LPC, or LMFT boards.
- Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner preferred; non-Practitioners who have exposure to and familiarity with TBRI accepted.
Competencies/Requirements:
- Solid clinical skills, particularly therapeutic skills relevant to individual, group and family practice settings
- Experience in child trauma treatment, specifically TBRI preferred
- Demonstrated competence in assessment, and evaluation of children and families
- Knowledge of issues surrounding adoption and foster care
- Training in or willingness to be trained in modalities including TBRI, Making Sense of Your Worth, and Circle of Security among others
- Ability to use discretion when discussing sensitive or confidential information
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to schedule and multitask
- Good problem-solving skills
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Meet requirements of licensing standards in regard to criminal background check.
Experience
At least two years of clinical practice experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit on the floor, bend and be at ground level with children, and transport supplies for group sessions as needed
