SUMMARY

The marketing communications specialist will assist in the management and administration of Pinnacle’s request for proposal (RFP) program. They will prepare firm’s responses to RFPs, aid in the strategic evaluation of RFP opportunities, contribute to RFP project management and ensure that all administrative aspects of the program are managed appropriately.

 

The marketing communications specialist will diligently apply excellent organizational and administrative skills. They will be an excellent writer and careful communicator and bring experience working strategically with many different stakeholders across an organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each essential function satisfactorily.

  • Assist in the administration of Pinnacle’s RFP Program
    • Understand all operational details of Pinnacle’s RFP program
    • Assist with tracking and monitoring incoming RFP opportunities in collaboration with the RFP Program Team
    • Assist with reviewing RFPs, scheduling and facilitating kick-off calls, monitoring deadlines, meeting RFP compliance requirements, and other RFP-related administration
    • Collaborate with RFP Program Team, draft and submit proposals and prepare interview materials
    • Prepare RFP-related reports as necessary
  • Other Marketing Support
    • Occasionally respond to marketing- and communications-related internal requests from throughout the organization
    • Contribute to other marketing and communications activities including resume maintenance, writing, editing, content production, digital activities, presentations, photography, media, social media, video and other duties as assigned
    • Assist with marketing and communications deliverables
  • Enter time and expenses accurately and timely
  • Handle and process confidential information with complete discretion
  • File projects and materials according to Pinnacle's internal filing system
  • Adhere to regular, predictable and punctual attendance

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
  • Familiarity with graphic design and understanding of good graphic design principles
  • Project management experience
  • Proposal/RFP experience
  • Familiarity with consulting, especially actuarial consulting

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in English, communications, marketing, marketing communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
