The Inventory Control Specialist can expect to work closely with management while performing a combination of tasks in order to manage and maintain the company’s inventory. Primary duties will include accurately performing cycle counts, receiving, recording, and reporting inventory levels and ensuring stock levels match records. They also receive and process shipments, maintain organized storage areas and may assist with other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Accurately count and record inventory levels, including performing physical counts and cycle counts.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of inventory, ensuring accurate records.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the company’s inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies between physical counts and computer records and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area, enduring proper storage and labeling.
- Receive incoming inventory and verify content.
- Ensure that inventory is accurately and clearly labeled.
- Collaborating with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues and improve overall inventory management
- Receive, locate, and transfer materials accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track, record and report and shortages or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Issue supplies to production, maintaining integrity of inventory FIFO principles.
- Collaborates with management on inventory process improvements.
- Address any problems, obstacles or challenges associated with production supplies.
- Identify damaged materials and report to management.
- Load and unload materials; utilizing appropriate tools to accomplish task.
- Transport incoming materials to designated areas.
- Maintain a safe work area while keeping stock locations clean, safe and organized.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, walk, reach within hand and arm length, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Has full hand dexterity
- Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
