The Buyer will be responsible for managing daily, weekly, and monthly procurement activities for a key segment of All Weather Architectural Aluminum.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Will use excellent communication skills to communicate with suppliers and presenting information to internal staff.
- Will use strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Works with available market data to forecast, plan, and evaluate procurement solutions.
- Create and work with various reports to ensure on time delivery, quality, and favorable pricing from our suppliers.
- Working with our engineering team to source materials and initiate, set up, and develop supplier relations.
- Works with MRP to ensure raw materials are available for production.
- Update ERP system and spreadsheets with additional information obtained regarding delivery of materials, pricing, supplier information, etc.
- Contacts suppliers for missing paperwork on shipments and work with A/P on any payment or pricing issues.
- Works with Materials Manager to control PPV.
- Works with Receiving Departments and Production Departments in all locations to get all shipments received into our system.
- Updates current supplier information and raw material data into our ERP system.
- Collects supplier evaluation data, evaluate with Supply Chain Manager and work with suppliers on evaluation results and necessary actions required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. as needed. Will involve periods of prolonged sitting, or standing, and includes walks around the production plant or construction sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in an office setting. Some tasks will require time spent in a warehouse and production environment.
