We’re currently seeking a hardworking, and reliable Wood Treater. Someone who will take on responsibility and prioritize safety. The main objective of this role is to Pressure treat lumber to its specified treating recipe, as well as keeping track of current and past inventory that has been treated. The candidate must be able to multitask as the treater is the Lead person on the shift. The treater makes sure the shift is running flawlessly. A knowledge of wood sizes would be great, as well as someone who can work well with others and communicate effectively.
Objectives of this Role
- Ability to count and operate a computer to input the number of packs into the system.
- Ability to read and comprehend the formulas used in the treating process.
- Basic mathematical skills in addition of packs of lumber. (pack size, number of pieces per pack)
- Working in a treating lab processing wood samples safely and accurately.
- Ability to safely handle chemicals for sampling wood for penetration.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Problem solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately.
- Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards.

- Work safely with chemicals: Take the necessary precautions for storing, using and disposing chemical products.
