Warehouse Associate - Full Time

Position Summary:  Provides a safe, secure and supportive residential environment for all clients and guests.  Monitors daily activity throughout shelter to ensure client safety in facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Warehouse Lead to ensure the daily operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, production duties, and returns processing.
• Utilize warehouse equipment and supplies.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean and organized and that safety protocols are followed.

• Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Ensure the safety of staff.
• Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities.
• Monitor warehouse workers and associated activities. Offer assistance to those with concerns or problems on the work floor.
• Process orders as needed.
• Liaison between transport companies, suppliers, donors, and clients
• Maintain statistical and financial records as requested.
• Reviews incoming and outgoing shipments
• Ensure that deliveries are stored in an organized manner so that its quality is maintained, and accessibility is achieved.
• Respond to orders efficiently so that products are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.

Other Duties:

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:  High School and one  (1) years of experience and any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 

Licenses and Certifications: Valid and clear Texas Driver’s License

Knowledge and Skills and Abilities: 

• Knowledge of Warehouse processes
• Knowledge of Inventory control system
• Knowledge of Distribution processes and systems
• Ability to work effectively with clients and staff from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Mental and Physical Abilities:

Performs work with moderate physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

Working Conditions: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise, as well as outside in various degrees of heat and cold. Ability to work some weekends and evening hours for special projects. 

Work Location: Work must be performed at the Warehouse Distribution Center.
