We are currently seeking to employ a Floating Maintenance Technician to help with our Maryland property locations. This position will float between properties as needed. This position includes a monthly gas allowance.

 

$1000 SIGN ON BONUS

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer
  • Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members
  • Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned
  • Sharing on-call responsibility
  • Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues
  • Providing own (basic) hand tools
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Attending in-house training as required
  • Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to use of standard hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to lift and move of heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, shovel snow etc.)
  • Knowledge to perform routine, preventative maintenance
  • Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills
  • Ability to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols
  • Responsibility to complete work orders in a timely manner and maintain inventory and a clean and stocked shop
  • Ability to identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues
  • Follow company operational and safety procedures
  • Ability to work an on-call schedule as required
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values
  • Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver’s license and working vehicle
