SUMMARY: The primary function of an Room Tech/Painter is to assure the overall success of the resort by meeting or exceeding the guest expectation of working order of all mechanical systems. The Engineer must maintain a safe working environment throughout the resort by providing an attractive, clean safe and well maintained property. Maintenance involves keeping buildings, public areas, equipment and machinery is safe, in efficient working order and repaired.Responsible for applying coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, drywall, textures, stucko and fixtures of buildings and other structures by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Promptly responds to guest problems or concerns and reports when action is complete
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, or makes recommendations for repairs, as assigned: all mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, all building components and furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Maintains the grounds daily, including landscaping and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner.
• Performs painting, carpentry, plumbing, emergency carpet cleaning and other jobs as necessary.
• Maintains all storage areas, shops and mechanical areas in a clean, safe and secure manner, reporting to the Chief Engineer any corrective actions that need to be taken.
• Keeps Chief Engineer promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and push and pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds, carry objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk around for the majority of the work period
• Ability to climb ladders and work at height up to 30 feet for extended periods
• Perform job duties with a minimum of disruption of the guest.
