JOB SUMMARY

This individual has a broad scope of responsibilities and works under the direction of the Executive Director.  Serves as a resource and support for other members of the team exercising discretion and independent judgment in the utilization and management of a variety of internal and external databases and systems.  This includes:  the collection of clinical and non-clinical data in order to perform analysis in support of performance process improvement initiatives; gathering data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness; and evaluating patient care data to ensure care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards.  This role will participate in and provide support for the following areas:  Regulatory Compliance, Accreditation and Certification Initiatives, Performance Improvement (PI), Patient Safety, and Quality Initiatives, and will serve as a resource and facilitator for organizational committees and teams.  Works with the Executive Director and departmental leaders in project planning, organization, coordination, and implementation including but not limited to identifying opportunities for improvement and training, utilization and analysis of data, and action planning and monitoring.  Provides administrative oversight and specialized education and training of the registry data, policy management, and Commission on Cancer and NAPBC accreditation services.  This position practices the Service Excellence philosophy of Hamilton Medical Center. Promotes positive relations with staff, managers, physicians, physician’s offices, outside agencies, and members of the community.  Assists in providing day to day support of the department and assumes other duties and responsibilities as needed or requested.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan an accomplish goals. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.

 

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in health care related field and 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area or 5+ years of experience in a directly related field or area and an equivalent combination of education and training that provide the required skills, knowledge, and abilities, combined with demonstrated performance excellence.

 Licensure:      Clinical experience and Licensures such as RN are preferred

Experience:   Three to five years of related experience in using a variety of performance improvement tools and principles such as statistical analysis, data management, accreditation and compliance, facilitating and training with adults, and a variety of computer applications and programs.  Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Skills: Must possess knowledge of data collection, analysis, and information management.  Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.  Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of meetings, classes, and programs.  Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and listening skills.  Utilizes the application of adult learning principles.  Proactive approach to decision making.  Excellent organization and time management skills.  High level of interpersonal, customer relationship, analytic, process improvement, and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, policy management, and other network database systems.  Works effectively with all levels of associates, affiliates, the community, and other customers.
