Education/Professional Experience
• Bachelors in Human Services or a related field, plus 1 year of experience collaborating with individual in recovery or those who have a history of substance abuse or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Counselor/Certified Peer Counselor is preferred.
• Experience in workforce development programs, services, techniques, and performance, or experience with other community-based service delivery systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proven experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to facilitate training and work with diverse populations, including the competence and skill to establish supportive trusting relationships and always respect the rights of each participant on their case load.
• Knowledge regarding the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), and the Office of Long-term Living (OLTL) preferred.
• Strong presentation development, marketing, and presentation delivery skills
• Strong ability to identify and establish networking opportunities with other resources.
