Job Overview: 
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this full-time, 12-month position involves primarily recruiting first-year students, reviewing applications, interviewing students, and providing hospitality to students and their families.  The position will require extensive recruitment and travel. This candidate will participate in recruitment events on and off campus, work on related projects, and achieve assigned individual and team goals.

The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license. This position requires weekend and evening work, as well as extensive travel.

Essential Functions:

  • Enthusiastically and proactively recruit, counsel, and assist primarily prospective first-year students (via e-mail, phone, online, information sessions/open houses, walk-ins, scheduled appointments, and/or other recruiting events) through the college admissions process. 
  • Execute recruitment efforts as assigned.
  • Build and/or maintain extensive Fall and Spring travel schedules.
  • Travel and represent the institution at college fairs, community-based organizations, and high school events.
  • Communicate with prospective students and parents.
  • Build strong relationships with high school counselors to facilitate recruitment and articulation agreements.
  • Conduct on- and off-campus information sessions and on-the-spot appointments.
  • Read and evaluate admissions applications.
  • Manage the follow-up for application completion, admission decision, scholarship award, and FAFSA completion.
  • Work independently while representing the college both on and off campus.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a welcoming community.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to drive a car with a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, work well under pressure, multitask, pay attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally.

Education:

A bachelor’s degree is required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Slate (Customer Relationship Management system) preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in higher education, admissions, and recruitment preferred
  • Experience with social media platforms preferred (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced office.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Regular Business Hours - M-F 8:30-4:30
Evening and Weekend work is required as determined by office leadership.

Work Schedule Requirements:
Hybrid Availability: Based on the needs of the Office of Admissions and approval of the office leadership.

Benefits:

Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-Time employees can earn between 18-23 paid time off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees responsible for books and technology fees). The college is committed to work-life balance and has a summer schedule from June through August. We currently have 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. You will have the opportunity to participate in our retirement plan from day one, and after one year of employment, the college contributes depending on your service years.
