We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Director to join our organization. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our fundraising strategies to support our mission and vision. You will work closely with the Executive Director to create and execute a comprehensive development plan that includes individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grant opportunities, and special events. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for our cause.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to meet annual revenue goals
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, ensuring timely and personalized acknowledgement
  • Identify and secure corporate sponsorships and partnerships to support our programs and initiatives
  • Oversee the planning and execution of special events, including donor receptions, galas, and campaign kick-offs
  • Manage and mentor any development staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to accurately forecast revenue goals, track progress, and report on fundraising efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices and trends in the nonprofit sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with donors and stakeholders
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create compelling fundraising materials and grant proposals
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop innovative fundraising initiatives
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of development professionals
