POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to construct add-on cabinets as needed for job installations. The Shop Technician is responsible for inventory and organization of materials, and construction and delivery of installation orders to designated offices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receives, inspects, and confirms delivery of materials for installations to the shop; reports any damage or missing materials immediately to the manager.
- Stores and organizes materials received according to the job name and number of the installation.
- Builds cabinets and countertops according to company build sheets for designated job, keeping material usage in mind during construction.
- Delivers finished cabinet and countertop units to other office locations.
- Maintains a clean and organized shop area at all times.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Delivers and assists with installation of cabinets to job site when necessary.
- Picks up and delivers extra materials to job sites when necessary to ensure install completion.
- Maintains a pleasant and professional attitude at all times.
- Exercises compliance to company safety policies at all times.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check, drug test and Human Performance Evaluation.
- Must be proficient in reading & writing using the English language.
- Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds from floor to waist.
- Must be able to perform repetitive bending, turning, twisting, kneeling and reaching motions, in addition to lifting some materials overhead.
- Must be able to use power tools and hand tools.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must have mechanical abilities.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. Must have Lead Renovator Certificate or acquire one at the next lead certification class.

Must be able to work in all types of environments under all types of weather conditions.
