JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for achieving sales growth objectives by developing and closing new business opportunities with existing customers in their area of coverage. Focus is on using phone, email, CRM, webinar, and occasional face-to-face contact to achieve personal sales targets and market goals within Dutch Valley’s non-field sales business segment. Typical tasks include engaging customers and developing value propositions that meet their needs, increasing sales volume from existing customers, identifying and acquiring sales volume from new customers, and managing service implementation through effective customer education and frequent collaboration with internal departments.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Development of Existing Account:
- Accurately analyze customer needs and sales potential using knowledge of Dutch Valley’s products, services, and capabilities to determine solutions that will create value for the customer while achieving company and individual sales goals
- Execute an aggressive customer call cycle ranging anywhere from 20-30 phone calls/ day with frequent use of email to follow up, voicemail, and CRM software to penetrate assigned territory
- Service as chief intelligence gatherer for customers in assigned territory by maintaining accurate records while compiling key customer data through critical analysis and occasional face to face customer visits
- Successfully navigate new business opportunities from the identification stage to closing while utilizing a sales opportunity pipeline to track progress and prioritize activities
- Collaborate with the Dutch Valley Field Sales regions to oversee the seamless transfer of accounts between business segments
Territory Management:
- In collaboration with the Inside Sales Manager, develop and execute a Territory Management strategy that provides reoccurring strategic engagements with all assigned accounts
- The Sales Associate must successfully allocate their time to primarily focus on top growth opportunities while still providing an exceptional sales experience for all Dutch Valley customer’s regardless of their sales potential
- Create and maintain a measurable process for reoccurring customer sales engagements utilizing electronic communication methods (email, phone, social media, CRM, etc.)
Maintaining and Deepening Customer Relationships:
- Be a trusted partner, consultant, and Dutch Valley brand ambassador while providing world-class customer service that is highly responsive; proactively solves problems and exceeds customer expectations
