Job Summary:

The Billing Manager will be responsible for implementing continuous improvements of the billing functions, while also leading and directing the billing team related to Engineering and Real Estate.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the staff and daily operations of the Engineering and Real Estate.
  • Monitors postings and all billing to ensure compliance with established company policies and regulations.
  • Ensures that third party billing is submitted correctly Assures that payer claim rejections are corrected and filed.
  • Manages and directs the flow of accounting inboxes to assign to individuals to provide support to internal and outside customers.
  • Build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate with Collections and Operations to properly communicate with the customer.
  • Manage month-end closing of billing group, work with multiple Accounting and Finance teams at month-end and helps to analyze and understand trends.
  • Maintains up-to-date expertise and knowledge of compliance, code changes, billing laws, rules, regulations, and developments necessary for the organization to make informed business decisions.
  • To hire, train and provide guidance, leadership and direction to all Billing Specialist and Project Accountants, and ensure they are familiar with technical architecture of their systems, and requirements of their assigned customer/project and have also instituted a regime which will ensure problems are detected early and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Proactively react to changing business needs and assess the impact of changes to Billing systems, processes, and global internal/external stakeholders
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness by reviewing Billing Operations processes and provide recommendations to streamline operations.
  • Participate in cross function team on enhancements to the billing software in testing and operational improvements.
  • Work with the CFO and/or Controller on any special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Self-motivated with the ability to engage and encourage team members
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills required
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Accounting and finance professional with at least 5 years of billing experience and a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a mid-large organization

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • College course work preferred
  • Prior experience with NetSuite preferred
