Job Summary:
As a Rail Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of rail infrastructure. Your experience and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our rail projects, from concept through construction. You will work with clients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality rail solutions. With guidance, you will apply techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks. This position performs routine technical work that requires previous experience.
Location: The Engineer II position will be on-site based out of RailPros' Monterrey office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- CAD Design: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings, plans, and layouts for rail infrastructure and other related components.
- Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge of rail design principles to solve complex engineering challenges. Perform track alignment, drainage, utilities, at-grade crossings, and earthwork design using MicroStation and InRail software. This includes developing detailed plans and assisting with construction cost estimates and project specifications.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with rail engineers in Mexico and the U.S. to provide technical support in the development of rail projects, ensuring design meets quality and client standards.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data relevant to rail projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multi discipline teams, including engineers and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with design requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure plans are technically compliant and meet client standards.
Additional Duties: Execute other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.
