Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables).
- Ability to write proposals and modify agreements.
- General knowledge to read and understand civil roadway, bridge, and track plans.
- Familiarity with railroad on-track safety and flagging protection.
- Understanding of railroad agreements, right-of-way, and construction methodologies.
- Knowledge of railroad construction standards (AREMA, MUTCD).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET/EAC accredited) or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, including AREMA, MUTCD, FHWA guidelines, and railroad construction practices.
- 5-10 years of experience managing specific RailRoad Public Safety and other 3rd Party funded Railroad Projects
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- 10+ years of industry experience, with 5+ years in freight public projects and federal at-grade crossing projects.
- Established relationships with railroad clients.
- Business development and project management experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or a comparable qualification demonstrating advanced engineering expertise.
