Tribal Tech, LLC is in search for Program Specialist to support and manage federal grant portfolios of social development, economic development, Native language and environmental projects from initial applications through implementation to evaluation of success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a grant portfolio of social development, economic development, Native language, and environmental projects.
- Work closely with senior management level staff, to include providing written analyses and reports on various activities.
- Develop methods to maximize quality and availability of social and economic development services.
- Provide guidance on community development projects.
- Analyze and evaluate applications for federal financial assistance.
- Compile results and present trends and best practices.
- Provide support for management, and training and technical assistance activities.
- Assist with the review and analysis of community-based projects and associated costs.
- Requires travel up to 10%.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate numerous activities within tight deadlines and a proven record for workflow management and ensuring tasks are accurately completed.
- Ability to provide assistance and recommendations in the design of new programs, enhancement of existing programs and maintenance of existing programs.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment/decision making skills and to take initiative.
- Must be dependable and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Detail oriented with strong ability to anticipate needs and problems and act accordingly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in social science, public administration, or closely related field, or a combination of education and experience; Master’s degree highly preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience, including experience working with the federal government.
- Experience working with underserved and/or diverse groups/communities, or on issues that affect these communities.
- Experience researching, developing, and presenting analyses, recommendations, and options papers for senior level decision makers.
- Experience working with the American Indian/Alaska Native and Pacific Islander communities highly preferred.
