As a Quality Control (QC) Specialist, you have an opportunity to address the most pressing health and wellness needs in Native American communities. You will help develop work products to encourage behavioral wellness habits, promote clinical services, and report on BHWP communications activities. You will work alongside the communications team, senior leadership, BIE, Tribal leaders, and educators to create a lasting impact on the mental health and wellness of Native American students.
What We Do: You will be part of a new, exciting contract with the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) to establish and run the Behavioral Health and Wellness Program (BHWP). The BIE BHWP provides culturally relevant, evidence-based, and trauma-informed behavioral health and wellness services for school staff, students, and families at all Bureau-funded institutions, including Bureau-operated schools, Tribally Controlled Schools, post-secondary institutions, and Tribal colleges and universities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help review and develop culturally appropriate Standard Operating Procedures, reports, presentations, social media posts, communication content, video scripts, blog posts, brochures, flyers, fact sheets, and other work products that support BHWP communications activities.
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop the BHWP brand identity.
- Support all quality assurance and quality control requirements and processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to organize and track documents as they go through the quality control process.
- Effective listening and communication skills across multiple teams and mediums.
- High-quality written work that demonstrates attention to detail and a grasp of large conceptual frameworks.
- Ability to summarize and convey information to a variety of audiences.
- Familiarity with the Associated Press (AP) stylebook.
- Advanced grammatical knowledge.
- Proven ability to form positive and effective relationships for results.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to generate new ideas and problem solve to identify unique and innovative ways to produce materials for communication activities.
- Flexible and able to adjust to a blooming work environment and evolving responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Microsoft Word and PowerPoint), SharePoint, Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, and database management.
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively as a part of a team.
- Must be able to favorably complete a background investigation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field with 2-5 years related experience.
- Previous work in Native American and Alaska Native communities highly desired.
