POSITION SUMMARY

The Stockroom Associate receives, stores and issues various materials. Maintains records of issuance and receipt of items. Responsible for the proper identification of all materials in stock. Prepares stock items for storage or movement without damage. Maintains clerical records.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive various materials and enter them into the ERP system (Manfact)
  • Count parts after their assigned work order has been completed
  • Return unused materials back to stock in accordance with stockroom practice
  • Use ERP system as well as other tracking systems to search for, or inventory, materials
  • Respond to window ticket materials requests
  • Pull material as part of kits for production services
  • Solve inventory related issues such as locating missing material
  • Perform cycle counts to verify quantities of material located in stock
  • Special projects will include tear downs, preparing parts to be sent to counting, and assembly
  • Other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  •  1 – 3 years of related experience in a stockroom or warehouse is preferred

 

REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience using an ERP system is a plus
  • Ability to use a computer to locate documents on a network 
  • Ability to execute transactions in Epicor and Microsoft Access  
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to meet objectives

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to hazards (chemical, mechanical, and/or radiant energy). The employee may be required to wear protective clothing such as heel straps and a lab coat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All of the work will be performed indoors.
