Curtis is seeking a summer day-camp Swim Instructor to join a supportive, inclusive, and educational learning community as a member of the camp team. Curtis School is a DK-6 co-ed elementary school whose mission is to “develop, in every child, a sound mind in a sound body, governed by a compassionate heart.”
As a Swim Instructor, you'll be responsible for teaching campers of various ages and skill levels how to swim, improving their water safety skills, and ensuring a fun and secure environment at the camp pool.

Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
- Teach swim lessons to campers of varying ages and skill levels using approved curriculum and techniques.
- Plan and lead engaging water-based activities and games that promote confidence and enjoyment in the water.
- Supervise campers during instructional and recreational swim periods, maintaining constant visual contact and attentiveness.
- Assists in monitoring and cleaning locker room area(s) and related facilities and equipment.
- Be prepared to respond swiftly to emergencies, including performing water rescues and administering first aid/CPR.
Attend and participate in all required staff training, safety drills, and team meetings.
- Serve as a positive role model for campers, demonstrating enthusiasm, respect, and professionalism.
