We are currently seeking full-time Electrical Engineers for our Kansas City, Missouri, or Lawrence, Kansas offices.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate (Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering) with 0-10 years of experience in the MEP industry
  • Required completion of FE and PE or working towards licensure
  • Focused experience and understanding of building electrical systems including: distribution, lighting, power, fire alarm, and special systems
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP
  • Experience with SKM PowerTools, AGI 32, and other electrical design software is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with pertinent design codes (NEC, NFPA 72, Energy Code, IBC) and the ability to apply necessary requirements to engineering design
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the electrical project engineer on multiple projects
  • Design electrical systems including lighting design, power distribution, and fire alarm stems for a wide variety of building types
  • Perform engineering calculations such as electrical system load analysis, short circuit calculations, photometrics, energy code compliance, and electrical distribution equipment sizing
  • Represent the firm at meetings with clients and during construction
  • Foster collaborative engineering design methods between all of our in-house disciplines
  • Provide BIM/AutoCAD documentation of electrical design
  • Assist in writing/editing of project specifications as required
