Position Summary:

The Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) Data Analyst plays a crucial role in helping the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas understand and enhance their relationships with customers. By leveraging a wealth of data, the Analyst will provide insights that drive fundraising strategy and improve donor stewardship. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with various data sources and systems, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

The Data Analyst role is to be performed with high standards of service to internal and external customers.

The Data Analyst will work with the Executive Director, CRM and Database management in the analysis of data, visualizing data with graphs, infographics and other methods to create informational and actionable reports. This position will collaborate with team leaders and key stakeholders to collect, organize, and analyze constituent data that supports department leads and executives in the development of business strategies to advance UWMD Community Impact work and achieve UWMD mission and growth objectives.

Responsibilities include ensuring data quality, access to reports and analytics, and facilitating communication of outcomes. This position will have access to proprietary and confidential information and as such requires confidentiality in these matters, and high integrity to protect donor and UWMD information.

Competencies for Success:

  • Proficiency in data processing software and business development strategies.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills. Experience in finding and understanding data patterns.
  • Ability to visualize data and create comprehensive reports.
  • Microsoft Power BI knowledge/skills
  • Excellent research, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills, with technical and non-technical audiences
  • A level of proficiency in working with CRM, including prospect and constituent management, data quality, in developing reports as well as an understanding of nonprofit fundraising processes.
  • Exhibits professional and positive conduct when interacting with board members, volunteers, community leaders and the public, as well as internal team members.
  • Displays strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments, including responding to urgent requests as needed.
  • Strong relationship management, collaboration and customer service mindset
  • Employs excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to express oneself concisely and clearly.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail.
  • Is a self-starter and acts in a self-directed manner with little or no supervision.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Data collection and management
  • Responsible for data being properly reviewed for accuracy, organized, stored, and maintained in the CRM system
  • Responsible for the appropriate collection and management of data to facilitate reporting of key performance indicators and metrics by specific segmentations and revenue streams
  • Ensure streamlined processes with the Accounting and Fundraising teams to effectively manage pledge reminders and invoices
  • Reporting and Visualization
      • Creating reports for internal teams, external clients, and/or stakeholders.
      • Visualizing data with graphs, infographics, and other methods.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in CRM or ERP system data analysis
  • Microsoft Power BI knowledge/skills
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Minimum of 2 years nonprofit technology experience or equivalent background preferred.
