Position Overview:
Working on the West Side of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, the Video Surveillance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of surveillance systems and related equipment, including video surveillance cameras, Mobile Surveillance Units (MSU), and Portable Surveillance Units (PSU). This position ensures all systems operate efficiently to protect company assets, facilities, and personnel.

Here are job specifics:
The schedule for this position is 8am-4:30pm, from Monday - Friday
Technicians report to their first call by 8am daily in company issued uniforms and driving their company vehicles.
When parts replenishment is needed, or special parts are requested or required, the technician will report to our Operations Office located in Santa Monica, CA.
All jobs are located within a 50-mile radius of the Santa Monica or Bel Air Offices and routes are assigned based on where the technician lives to maximize efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONISIBILITIES
• Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain surveillance cameras, MSU, PSU, and related technologies. Perform regular system updates, repairs, and upgrades.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware & software issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• System Monitoring: Oversee the functionality of surveillance equipment, including MSU & PSU, and resolve technical issues.
• Technical Support: Provide on-site & remote assistance to security personnel, management, and clients. Clearly explain system functions and troubleshooting steps.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service records, system configurations, and installation reports.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all surveillance systems meet local, state, and federal regulations, along with company policies and industry standards.
• Training & Collaboration: Work closely with security teams to assess operational needs and provide system training as needed.
• Equipment Management: Track inventory and maintain all surveillance equipment, including MSU & PSU, to ensure full operational capacity.
