CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- A four-year degree with an accredited college university in a related field and experience preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in event planning and implementation, preferably in the nonprofit industry.
- Experienced computer skills in an online membership database system; Atlas preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Superior computer skills across different software applications.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of event planning and execution to include sponsorships to achieve a break-even budget or better.
- Must embrace and demonstrate a “Continuous Improvement” approach to problem solving and process enhancement.
- Must possess and demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach to conducting the operations of the chamber staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills essential.
- Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills. Good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail is required.
- Calm personality and able to keep composure under fire.
- Course work/seminar attendance in ACCE, CACCE, U.S. Chamber conferences, meetings and conferences as content is related to events and investor engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with leadership, all employees, and visitors, including responses to electronic communications.
- Requires a highly organized and disciplined individual who will ensure timely follow-up with senior staff and employees.
- Demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Attendance and Dependability: The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work. Employee must be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT
- Frequent periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer using eye-hand coordination.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
