NPR of America, INC, a premier Tier I, II supplier of precision piston rings serving both the OEM and Aftermarket business segments globally. We are looking for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Tech. This shift's core hours will be Sunday- Thursday 11:00 PM- 7:30 AM.

What you will be doing

  • Provides repairs to production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.
  • Performs maintenance on plant facilities including air compressors, nitrogen lines, plumbing and lighting systems.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Installing equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet specifications.
  • Assist in maintaining Total Production Maintenance program. 
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment in compliance with safety regulations.  
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree in a related technical field or High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills as evidenced in colleague relations, team skills, and have the ability to interface directly with the customer to resolve issues
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills for both relay logic and PLC controls.
  • Basic electrical skills covering 480v 3 phase system, transformers, AC & DC drives, power supplies, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to work across multiple shifts and overtime as needed.

Must have Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in metals manufacturing, preferably automotive. 
  • An associate's degree in industrial maintenance a plus.
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC experience and HVAC. 
  • Past experience with electrical circuits, robotics, CNC controlled machinery, pumps, fluid power, welding, cutting, grinding and heat treatment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Experience with TPS and/or TPM a plus.
  • Must be familiar with 3 phase and single-phase motors.
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and resolve problems related to mechanical machinery and equipment
  • Must have skills including but not limited to written communication personal computer and operation
  • Must be able to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, ladder logic diagrams, equipment services and operating manuals
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
  • Must have knowledge of lockout/tag-out procedures.   
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all PM on assigned equipment. Perform all levels of PMs, and also perform basic repairs
  • DC Control Circuits voltages to 24 VDC
  • Be capable of welding and steel fabrication
  • Process hourly/daily paperwork as required
  • Run conduit and pull wire to install or move equipment
  • Any other General Maintenance related activities as required, pertaining to building and facilities
  • Carpentry, plumbing and painting
