Description

You can make a difference for climate and equity.

Slipstream is a national, mission-driven organization that accelerates climate solutions. For everyone. We are seeking an HVAC Installation Advisor who acts as a key internal and external subject matter expert helping us achieve clean energy and equity solutions. This person will play a key role in our work to continue improving the energy and emissions performance of residential HVAC, with a focus on expanding heat pumps installed.

Do you have technical experience installing, designing, and coordinating residential HVAC system installation in a cold climate? Are you looking for an improvement in your work/life balance?

Then Slipstream needs you.

We partner with governments, philanthropies, and utilities to discover, test, and scale new solutions that save - and decarbonize - energy. We collaborate with communities of color, rural communities, and tribal nations to address historic inequities in the health and economic benefits of clean energy. We're optimistic, inclusive, and ambitious about our impact.

Our ideal HVAC Installation Advisor has worked in a technical installation capacity and has transitioned to sales, management or a comfort advisor role. We need someone with experience in selecting and sizing equipment for a heating-dominated climate, duct work design, working with gas furnaces and both the installation and technical aspects of heat pumps.

A good communicator and the ability to effectively build professional relationships with contractors and distributors are key skills needed for success. This unique experience requires someone who can translate the technical aspects of heat pump installation to contractors. We need an effective collaborator and someone who can include under-represented perspectives to drive better ideas.

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds. While our physical offices are in Madison, WI and Chicago, IL, we have remote staff in many other states and welcome candidates with experience in northern climates and located in the Midwest.
