Columbia River Catholic (CRC) consists of the campuses of Holy Redeemer Parish (Vancouver), St. Thomas Aquinas Parish (Camas), and Our Lady Star of the Sea Mission (Stevenson).  CRC is searching for a full-time administrative assistant to cover the Holy Redeemer and St. Thomas Aquinas campuses, as well as providing some support to Our Lady Star of the Sea. The person in this role provides administrative and financial support for CRC on the St. Thomas Aquinas and Holy Redeemer campuses.

 

Office Operations and Support

  • Serves as primary administrative point person for maintaining up-to-date parishioner registration information in ParishStaq, our parishioner census management software. This includes new parishioner registration, guaranteeing consistency of data formatting, and regularly auditing for database integrity.
  • Assists with online registration for faith formation and other evangelization activities at HR, STA, and OLSOS.
  • Creates and maintains sacramental records for St. Thomas Aquinas Parish and Our Lady Star of the Sea Mission.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date facility calendars for all three campuses.
  • Manages Mass intention requests, including online systems and record keeping for publication.
  • Creates and manages online forms as required for parish events and programs.
  • Supports the Business Manager in providing training and troubleshooting for parish information technology.
  • Proofreads weekly pastor’s column and other correspondence as required.

Financial Operations

  • Oversees and administers the processing of weekly financial donations at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish (offertory collection counting, and others). Recruits and supports volunteer money counters for St. Thomas Aquinas.
  • Posts weekly donations via Pushpay software for Holy Redeemer, St. Thomas, and Our Lady Star of the Sea and creates quarterly and annual giving statements for parishioners each quarter and at the end of the year.
  • Completes bank deposits as needed, including dropping off deposits at the local bank (weekly for St. Thomas Aquinas and as backup for Holy Redeemer).
  • Assists the Business Manager in administering the Annual Catholic Appeal campaign in the spring and the Stewardship campaign in the fall (mailing letters, posting pledges, updating communications, etc.)
  • Assists the Business Manager in responding to parishioner questions about their stewardship.
  • Maintains Holy Cross Cemetery records, including handling sale of plots and niches.
  • Acts as liaison with local funeral homes and monument companies.

Volunteer Coordination

  • Recruits and coordinates other volunteers as needed for various parish administration projects such as stewardship mailings, bulletin folding, and front desk volunteers.
  • Recruits other volunteers as required, including for liturgies at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.

Other Duties

  • Participates in staff meetings, staff retreats, and attends workshops for professional development.
  • Collaborates with other CRC staff to ensure existing and emerging tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Work well in a team environment across multiple campuses, including interfacing well with people with irregular schedules.
  • Have a demonstrated history of administrative office work.
  • Have at least a high school diploma. College degree preferred.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
