Day Shift
Position Description: The primary purpose of the position is to provide electrical controls system troubleshooting and projects. Additionally, the role acts as an equipment expert in all problems of electrical circuits, electrical controls, drives, PLC’s, and equipment software.
Electrical Controls Tech Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Troubleshooting and improvement of electrical control and power systems including full understanding of relay logic, ladder logic, PLC’s and AC drives.
- Troubleshooting and improvement of PLC and HMI software systems including PLC Code modifications as needed to improve machine operation.
- Electrical system design or review as required for new equipment projects.
- Utilize industrial software and systems such as Ignition, RS Logix 500/5000, RS View.
- Communication and training with maintenance personnel
- Perform all work in a high quality and safe manner ensuring that all OSHA, NEC, Presco or other standards are followed.
- Train and develop skillsets of Maintenance Team.
- Willing to be On-Call periodically.

- Performing all job functions in a safe manner, follow and enforce all PRESCO policies and procedures.
- Willingness to work on the production floor as necessary to resolve equipment issues. The environment can be noisy, dirty, hot or cold.
- Identifying and immediately communicating personnel and safety issues to the Maintenance Manager and assisting with investigations and resolutions of the issues if needed.
- Communicating and working with Shift Supervisors to ensure proper prioritization of issues.
- Accurate and complete reporting of maintenance, production, and quality data both manually and in computer systems.
- Reporting any continuous improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Manager.
