Description

The Truck Loader assists in loading cattle onto and off trucks while assuring the safety and practice of proper animal handling techniques while loading or unloading cattle.

Reports to:

Cowboy Supervisor and Cattle Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for noting strays, poor doers, downer animals, or other animals not destined for processing.

Gather, sort, count, and load cattle for harvest.

Coordinates shipment and receiving of cattle using the truck schedule. 

Accurately record pulled cattle removed from trucks.

Receive, ship, unload, and move cattle daily.

Safely Move cattle from pens as directed.

Act by all applicable safety animal welfare regulations and company policies.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

Frequently to occasionally, the employee is required to push/pull, reach, bend, run, sit, stand, jump, climb, squat, kneel, lift, carry, twist, grasp/squeeze.

The employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions.

Must be able to lift and push 50 pounds at a time.
