We exist so families can get better together. Each night, we keep 181 families close to the care and resources they need through six area Ronald McDonald Houses® and four Ronald McDonald Family Rooms®. Enabling families to stay close to their hospitalized child supports the health and well-being of the child and saves families more than $10 million in hotel and food costs each year. We also operate the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® program, providing medical care to children in underserved areas. RMHC-CNI is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The Director of Digital Growth plays a pivotal role in RMHC-CNI’s Marketing and Communications team, driving digital strategy to enhance audience engagement, increase fundraising revenue, and expand brand awareness. This role is responsible for crafting meaningful online experiences for donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and community supporters, ensuring digital marketing efforts align with organizational goals.

We’re seeking an innovative, results-driven digital marketer with a passion for leveraging data, content, and technology to attract, engage, and retain supporters. This individual will lead integrated digital marketing efforts, oversee multi-channel campaigns, and optimize the digital donor journey—from lead generation to retention and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy that drives donor acquisition, engagement, and retention, while ensuring alignment with fundraising and awareness goals.
  • Manage omni-channel direct response campaigns in collaboration with Marcom and Development teams, plus outside agencies.
  • Lead and optimize email marketing and SMS campaigns, including segmentation, automation, A/B testing, and performance analysis, in collaboration with development and programs teams.
  • Manage and grow RMHC-CNI’s social media presence by creating compelling, platform-specific content, driving community engagement, and analyzing performance metrics to inform strategy.
  • Oversee website strategy and management, ensuring an optimized user experience, strong SEO/SEM performance, and accessibility of key resources for donors, families, and volunteers.
  • Oversee digital advertising initiatives, including paid social, display, retargeting, and Google Ads Grant management, to generate leads and convert them into active donors.
  • Own and analyze digital KPIs, providing insights and strategic recommendations to enhance engagement, retention, and conversion rates across all digital channels.
  • Create engaging content across multiple formats—including blogs, social media posts, emails, and donor communications—to strengthen RMHC-CNI’s brand and storytelling.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns and event promotions, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Champion brand consistency by adhering to and enforcing RMHC brand guidelines at both the local and global level.
  • Stay ahead of digital marketing trends and recommend innovative strategies, tools, and technologies to enhance marketing performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in non-profit, agency, B2C or B2B sector
  • Track record of success in digital marketing, with a strong focus on audience engagement and conversion.
  • Proven expertise in digital advertising, including Google Ads, paid social, and retargeting strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing technology, including:
    • Website CMS (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.)
    • Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
    • CRM systems (Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge preferred)
    • Content scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)
    • Analytics tools (GA4, Meta, etc.)
  • Exceptional storytelling and content development skills, with experience crafting compelling copy across digital channels.
  • Basic graphic design skills in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) a plus.
