EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree/two years of college in Human Services related field is preferred. Work experience as a substitute may be considered. Experience working with cases similar to those served and working in a Residential setting is preferred. Training preferred on the following topics; Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions (ASAM), Co-occurring disorders, including prevalence, signs/symptoms, assessment, treatment and the impact of one’s own attitudes/beliefs on the delivery of services and the use of naloxone in response to an opioid overdose.Â
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required and CPR and first-aid certification must be obtained upon hire if not already held and must be maintained.  Â
CONTINUED COMPETENCY:
Attendance at required in-service training and continuing education as recommended by Director and/or Vice President. Must consistently deliver exceptional customer service. Must consistently attend, be prepared for and meaningfully participate in individual supervision and team meetings. Must maintain a satisfactory performance evaluation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Must be fluent in English. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to accurately count and reconcile using units of American currency.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to anticipate and articulate concerns regarding potential areas of inaccuracy.
