The Project Manager (PM) is a key role for the success of our automated storage systems sold to our customers.
The PM has the overall view of the projects to coordinate the assigned teams and tasks, ensuring the quality, schedule, and budget are being met, from the moment Sales transfers the sold project to Operations, until the full delivery of the system to our customer.
Responsibilities:
- Review in detail the transfer documents from sales dept, explain and share with the relevant involved parties (structural, robotics, controls. WMS Software, aftersales)
- Create the detailed schedule (using MS project and internal proprietary platforms), combining customer needs and milestones with design, manufacturing, transport, installation and commissioning internal tasks.
- Create the detailed budget, all the reporting, communications, and documents needed for the project.
- Use the internal proprietary platforms to keep all project documents organized, in accordance with our methodology and the project’s particularities.
- Prepare the RFQs, find (when needed) and negotiate with subcontractors for the different phases of the project.
- Verify the correct execution of the schedule by all the parties involved. Update it as needed.
- Give tasks and coordinate the assigned techs from other departments to ensure compliance with all regulations for the project (engineering, logistics, administration, accounts payable, trip planner, operations areas, aftersales, etc.)
- Create, follow, and update a detailed plan related to manufacturing status and delivery of materials and subcontractors.
- Coordinate the changes in material (complimentary orders and returns) and the scope change orders with contractors and customers.
- Manage the tasks assigned to the project team, including the site manager, mechanical and electrical supervisors, and electro-mechanic technicians.
- Continuously complete detailed follow-up of daily tasks and progress, doing so both remotely and on-site at customer’s project location. Verify that all tasks are completed correctly, on time and on budget.
- Verify that the quality of the work meets the standards and agreements.
- Ensure that the customer is aware of all the processes, needs of collaboration, and documentation required for the project. Manage their needs and expectations.
- Coordinate invoicing based on milestones and progress validation.
- Coordinate testing, training and start of production of the system with the customer.
- Ensure that all the safety regulations are followed on site.
