What will you do?
The ATDM Data Operations and Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and performing analyses on datasets to derive useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making. Additionally, this position will manage and optimize data usage, and ensure data received from various sources is clean, accurate, and reliable. The ideal candidate will possess the technical/programming skills to extract, analyze, and explore data from primary system, along with verbal and written communication skills to present and communicate data, methods, and technical information to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.

What do you offer?

  • Performs analysis of data that aligns to organizational goals and relays business impacts of findings through sound data driven recommendations. Operationalizes key findings, insights, and recommendations. Develops tools to speed and automate the production of dashboards, complex models, and analyses.
  • Cleans and manipulates data, merges data files, prepares data loads, and documents analysis programs.
  • Responds to data requests from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creates charts, graphs, and summaries of results and disseminates the information to necessaries parties.
  • Develops and implements strategies for making data available to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides operational support to assigned business units systems, including assistance with technical issues.
  • Data cleaning and preparation which involves filtering the data, managing missing values, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends.
  • Data Visualization: They create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable.
  • Prepare and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders, which can influence policy and decision-making processes.
  • Work within ATDM and other Departments to understand data needs to help make informed decisions based on data insights.
  • Conducting procedures to maintain data, transactions, and reports from systems.
  • Perform administrator tasks and provide training to end users.
  • Coordinating with data engineers to design systems that support business functions and operations.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including executive leadership, managers, faculty, and staff.
  • Point of contact for all data requests, create infographics, reports, and charts for data queries, and retrieve data for various lines of effort.

 

What IALR Offers

IALR will offer a salary of $75,000-$85,000 but will depend on the incumbent's experience.  IALR offers unique career opportunities in an innovative environment, all to support the economic transformation of Southern Virginia.
