This position is responsible for installing, repairing, connecting, testing, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, and communications. Read & interpret electrical schematics. Install and terminate wiring, build, and terminate wire harnesses. Install electrical components, program and set-up all components, install 12- & 2-volt lighting systems and troubleshoot all. PRIMARY
- Must be able to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as multimeter.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components.
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards.
- Calibrate equipment to provided specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Must be able to troubleshoot 24 VDC/12VDC Systems and conduct preventive maintenance.
- Must install new electrical equipment as needed.
- Must make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible to minimize inconvenience.
- Must replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire as needed.
- Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Maintain communication with contractor or vendor.
- May work with engineers, engineering technicians, or industrial machinery installation, repair, and maintenance workers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
