Materials Runner/Courier

Utah Testing and Engineering is seeking a Materials Runner/Courier to transport materials samples for the Monticello/ Blanding, Utah area. 

$15- $20 per hour based on certification and experience. This a seasonal temporary position expected to last April-August. Could be a great fit for a student or construction management intern.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and the ability to maintain the provided company vehicle. (No CDL Required)
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
•  0-3 years of materials testing experience
• Desired certifications (or the ability to obtain UDOT certification) include:
  •  ACI concrete field tech level 1 certificate
  •  Sample Reduction and Density testing (SRDTT)
• On the job training will be available

Responsibilities:

• Complete required paperwork for each job
• Prepare and complete daily written reports
• Complete various duties at the direction of the Inspector

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50-80 lbs.
• Stand or sit in one place for 1-2 hours at a time
• Stoop and bend to perform equipment maintenance
•  Ability to wear appropriate PPE for hazardous materials
• Wear steel toe shoes as needed
• Ability to work indoor/outdoors in all-weather conditions and elements
