Overview

Medinah Country Club currently has an amazing opportunity for an Agronomy Intern. This position will be perfect steppingstone for a candidate looking understand how to apply your skills learned within your classes and put them into action, as there will be emphasis on learning and personal growth. The successful candidate will love coming to the Club every day, working together with the team, and making a difference in the success of the organization. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work Closely with Experienced Agronomist(s)
  • Perform Regular Field Checks & Diagnose Problems
  • Insect, Weed & Disease Monitoring
  • Monitor Soil Moisture Status
  • Irrigation Scheduling
  • Soil Sampling
  • Assist Producers with Equipment Calibration
  • Generating Computerized Detailed Field Reports
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university studying agriculture/horticulture.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, a desire to help others, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to organize, manage time and multitask.
  • Dependable, with attention to detail, and strong willingness to learn.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Background in agriculture a plus!
