Salary Ranges: 

Machine Operator A : $22.50 - $28.45

Machine Operator B: $20.50 - $25.90

Machine Operator C : $18.50 - $23.72

Position classification will be measured on relevant experience and on-the-job pre-employment test results.

Located in Minonk, Illinois, SMF (an Etnyre International Company) is a full-service metal manufacturing facility that specializes in heavy and light fabrication for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Our organization has a fifty-year history servicing the construction, power generation, agriculture, and mining industries. Ninety-five percent of SMF’s business is as a Tier One supplier to OEMs, so we are held to high standards by our Fortune 500 clients. Our high-quality production and outstanding reputation can be attributed to our longevity in the industry, as well as our experienced employees. That’s why we are in the top ½ percent of machine shops nationwide. With more than 200,000 square feet of manufacturing capabilities between our two facilities, Our processes include everything from engineering and fabrication to multiple finishing options.  In late 2020, SMF joined the Etnyre International team and is now a part of an exciting growing organization. We are looking for energetic experienced Machine Operators to join our 2nd shift team. 

QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Skilled Machine Operator capable of proficiently running 1st cut machines required for Class B qualification

• Technical course certification or equivalent on the job experience.

• Demonstrated safe overhead crane operation

• Ability to recognize machine malfunctions, troubleshoot, and initiate corrective action.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach

• Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to train incoming new members and transfers

• Periodically manually lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time
