Sr. Infrastructure Architect

Strategy & Planning:

• Maintain knowledge of company's strategic business plans.
• Provide Infrastructure architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Platform teams, Systems Engineers, and other Systems Architects.
• Develop, document and maintain in-depth knowledge of company's existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure strategic capacity plans.
• Develop, document, communicate, and enforce Infrastructure technology standards & policies.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will improve simplicity and efficiency as well as increase cost effectiveness and flexibility for Infrastructure, and ITS.
• Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate detailed systematic plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including roadmap and strategies.
• Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and collaborate with the Engineering team to make recommendations for improvement.
• Participates in detailed ROI/TCO analysis for projects and monitors return on invested capital and other resources pertaining to Infrastructure

Operational Management:

• Collaborate with Product teams and Platform Directors to define business requirements for complex systems development and gain buy-in for all infrastructure plans.
• Review new and existing IT projects, systems designs, and strategic plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans.
• Provide guidance to other members within the Infrastructure team.
• Supports architectural standards and Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategies as the norm for projects
• Develops accurate schedule and scope of effort estimates for Infrastructure initiatives and projects that impact Infrastructure

Knowledge & Experience:

• 10 - 15 years' work experience.
• Extensive experience with developing strategic plans.
• Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
• Proven experience in systems design and development.
• Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.
• Experience with Cloud, IaaS, PaaS and/or other non-traditional Infrastructure hosting and support models.
• Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, including SAAS solutions, ERP, and Enterprise financials.
• In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Microsoft and Linux.
• Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including IP networking, Telephony,

Oracle, SQL, WebLogic, MQ, Data Power:

• Strong knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practice.
• Proven project planning and management experience.
• Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, and Linux preferred.
