Senior Interior Designer

Mammoth Sports Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will lead and manage design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring exceptional design standards and client satisfaction. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to deliver creative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing interior environments that reflect the client’s vision and the highest industry standards. 

ESSTENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead interior design projects, overseeing all aspects from initial client consultation and conceptual design through to final execution.  

• Manage the overall project timeline, budgets, and resource allocation.  

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. 

• Understand and interpret client needs and communicate design solutions effectively.  

• Mentor and guide junior designers, assisting with concept development, design presentations, and technical drawings.  

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate interior design solutions seamlessly into broader project plans. 

• Develop space plans, mood boards, and interior design concepts that align with client goals.  

• Create design presentations and visualizations to communicate effectively to clients and stakeholders. 

• Source and specify furniture, materials, finishes, lighting, and other design elements. 

• Develop and manage product specifications and coordinate procurement as necessary. 

• Stay current with the latest design trends, materials, and sustainability practices. 

• Ensure design integrity, consistency, and accuracy in all project documentation. 

• Review and approve drawings, technical specifications, and installation plans to maintain high-quality standards. 

• Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field. NCIDQ certification is a plus. 

Experience: 

• Minimum of 7 years of professional interior design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of project types (e.g. sports, commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail). Experience in sports design is preferred.  

• Experience in managing projects and client relationships. 

Skills: 

• Proficient in design software such as Revit/Enscape. 

• Experience with writing project specifications 

• Strong knowledge of building codes, material specifications, and industry standards. 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. 

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. 

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. 

• Passionate about design with an eye for aesthetics and functionality. 

• Client-focused with a keen understanding of their needs and vision. 

• Experience with FF&E packages (compiling, bidding, execution) 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

• Must be able to distinguish between colors.
