POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Production Reporting Analyst based in Denver, CO reports to the Manager - Production Reporting.  Under minimal direction, this position consolidates and analyzes production data on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis.  This position works closely with other internal departments and external parties to ensure timely and accurate production reporting to Midstream parties and partners. Additionally, it is responsible for understanding, tracking and reporting imbalances to the relevant parties. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Validate, report and analyze daily / monthly midstream, SCADA, water and oil volumes from multiple fields for accurate upload to the company’s production software.
  • Effectively communicate and partner with internal and external parties to ensure all meters are represented and the associated volumes are accurately accounted for in various systems. Additionally troubleshoot system issues and work with all parties involved to resolve timely and accurately.
  • Work closely with Gas Marketing to gather volume data to prepare and distribute accurate monthly volume reports to midstream counterparties and to ensure accurate partner allocations.
  • Prepare and deliver precise monthly gas balancing statements to partners.  Prepare and enter monthly journal entries required to accurately reflect both wellhead and pipeline imbalances.  Reconcile imbalance accounts monthly to insure accurate financial reporting.
  • Work closely with midstream parties to provide accurate allocation splits and production volumes to ensure correct volumes are allocated to TIK partners.
  • Collaborate with others in Operations, IT, Marketing and Revenue to streamline production processes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve Ad hoc requests from individuals both internally and externally.
  • Assist with all partners inquiries.
  • Develop the team’s skillset, including their own, in areas related to production accounting, such as regulatory reporting and statutory requirements in the states where we operate.
  • Ensure and/or update timely the production software as needed with attributes related to gas samples prepared during the month.
  • Keep accurate and up to date records on all meter changes and update FMS software as required.   
  • Ensure the accuracy of the FMS volume software and troubleshoot issues to ensure accurate reporting from Cygnet/field office.
  • Maintain respectful and productive working relationships within and across all work groups, ensuring effective collaboration and cooperation.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of production of software.
  • Experience with imbalances.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details to develop, refine and implement initiatives targeted at accurate, efficient and timely production reporting.
  • Familiarity with SCADA.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to maintain production system and to troubleshoot complex issues for accurate reporting.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to details to produce quality and accurate work.
  • Effective prioritization, organization and multi-task skills to beat of meet required deadlines.
  • Self-starter; thrives in a lean team, fast-paced environment and with limited degree of direction.
  • Analyze situations, foresee issues and proactively create solutions and make recommendations for process improvement.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, business or relevant equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of Oil and Gas Production experience
  • 4+ years of Oil and Gas Accounting experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • None

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas Exploration & Production
  • 2+ years production reporting analyst experience in Exploration and Production
  • Experience with volume or production related software: Cygnet or Flowcal
  • NM, TX or WY production reporting experience
