Description

Job Purpose:  Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department on all personnel matters. Processing Credentialing of SCIHP providers and attends Credentialing Committee Meetings, as well as presents all credentialing files to the personnel committee.

  1. Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  2. Compiles and updates employee records on as needed basis.
  3. Assists with employee requests regarding human resources, rules and regulations.
  4. Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  5. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
  6. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  7. Assists in recruiting, posting jobs, revising job announcements, job descriptions.
  8. Plans and oversees new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  9. Assists management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  10. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  11. Assists staff with information for benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  12. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.

Credentialing

  1. Prepares provider credentialing files.
  2. Reviews credentialing packages received for completeness within five business days of receipt notify provider of any missing items by telephone or mail.
  3. Updates the data base with information including license numbers and expiration, DEA# and expiration, NPPES NPI#, Boards ect.
  4. Verifications of Primary Source documents for education and training from verified sites or direct contacts.
  5. Request AMA and Federal Check on Provider Staff.
  6. Assists in Credentialing Committee meeting, presents completed file to personnel board.    

                                   

Qualifications

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Payroll/Human Resources systems; Knowledge of Data base software; Spreadsheet software and word processing software.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  A current California driver license and a current CPR-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification.

 

Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American Indian community, their culture, traditions, behavioral patterns, and background.
