General Laborer

Summary:

McKinley Paper Company is hiring General Laborers for temporary work assignment for a full time 3-8 month period.  This position, under supervision will be working as part of a team to assist in maintaining, repairing and cleaning the mill site in Prewitt NM. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of all labor duties assigned by department personnel.
• Assist Manufacturing and Maintenance departments with site cleanup and beatification efforts within the mill property.  This will involve debris pick up, general yard maintenance, painting and cleaning,
• Debris pick up and removal placing in containers or designated areas for transport.
• Operate light equipment used in grounds maintenance.
• Use of hand tools and power tools for various tasks
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• May operate equipment including bot not limited to skid steers, forklifts and light vehicles.
• Support Operators and other specialized trades as required.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Must have your own reliable transportation to and from the work site
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen and Non-DOT physical exam
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must be able to work extended hours and on weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: This is an industrial manufacturing environment, extreme swings in temperature Hot and cold and wet conditions.
