Position Summary:

As a Faculty Member, you will plan, teach, direct, and supervise all student learning experiences in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas, following the curriculum approved by the Accreditation Bureau.

Responsibilities:

This faculty position reports directly to the Campus Director.

Key Functions:

  • Curriculum Implementation: Teach and implement the total curriculum under the direction and supervision of your direct supervisor.
  • Activity Planning: Plan and assign student activities in the classroom and/or clinical settings.
  • Student Support: Identify individual and collective learning needs of students, considering their physical, mental, and emotional status.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of student progress, performance, attendance, and grades.
  • Assessment: Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations.
  • Lesson Planning: Devise and implement written lesson plans through lectures, demonstrations, discussions, etc.
  • Student Engagement: Discuss concerns and problems with students related to their learning experience.
  • Meetings: Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the Program Director or their designee.
  • Professional Development: Assist students in developing values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
  • Instructional Materials: Participate in the selection and preparation of instructional materials.
  • Role Modeling: Provide a professional role model for students.
  • Pharmacy Technician Instruction: Provide instruction to Pharmacy Technician classes and prepare students for a successful career as a Pharmacy Technician Assistant.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist with ongoing review and development of curricula in the department.
  • Attendance: Attend orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings as scheduled.
  • Monitoring: Monitor student progress and attendance.

Lab Instruction:

Oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions for students, providing hands-on instruction, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and inquiry.

 

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION:

  • 3 years' experience in the field
  • PT Certification License
  • PTCB Certification Required (Grace period of 60 days to obtain one, if needed)
  • High School Diploma
  • As needed
