Success Education Colleges (SEC) is a family of institutions comprised of Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing, North-West College, Glendale Career College, and Nevada Career Institute. SEC is a leader in allied health education, and has been offering quality and affordable health care training programs for over 55 years.
It is the belief of the faculty of the Nursing Department at Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing that each member should have defined responsibilities and that the Nursing Department accepts the responsibility of supporting its members in the achievement of both departmental and individual professional goals.
All faculty must follow the Department of Nursing Faculty Handbook of Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing and the College Handbook.
10 to 15 hours a week depending on the Students Need (week days)
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helping instructor with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment.
- Reviewing lessons or lectures with students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups.
- Supervising students in class, between classes
- Tracking attendance, grading assignments and calculating grades.
- Giving extra help to students who need special accommodations or are struggling with a concept
- Assisting students with special learning requirements, including disabilities or English as a second language students.
- Contribute to department and college activities to ensure achievement of the College mission and department goals.
- Attend College faculty meetings and assemblies on a regular basis.
- Participate in the program development, including development, implementation, and evaluation of the department’s policies and curriculum.
- Collaborating with the instructor to identify students’ issues and recommend solutions
- Observing state, school, and class policies and regulations
- Assists in establishing and implementing an appropriate active learning environment.
- Coordinates with the assigned instructor to ensure educational requirements are being accomplished.
