We grow the BEST Strawberries on earth. Vertically farmed, pesticide free, and always in season, Oishii Berries are unlike any strawberry you’ve ever tasted. As an Oishii District Sales Associate, your job will be to share our Berries with the world!!

 

As part of our Commercial Team, the District Sales Associate (DSA) supports the Regional Sale Manager (RSM) or Field Market Manager (FMM) in maintaining premium merchandising standards on-shelf, store team education and relationship development. On a daily basis you will gather insights from retail/field/consumers that will inform Oishii sales/marketing tactics, and will ensure consistent inventory is maintained in store.

 

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • 90% of time spent in field -primarily in-store in a defined area (or district) region
  • 10% office/administrative - tasks will include order/inventory oversight for each store in district, coordinating with RSM/HQ on demo planning/preparation and reporting field/consumer insights internally
  • DSA will be responsible for maintaining Oishii merchandising standards on-shelf, as defined by RSM/Oishii leadership, and will maintain weekly visits to each store in his/her/their district
  • DSA will complete reports after each store visit via mobile-based reporting platform (GoSpotCheck) and will work with RSM to build solutions for any challenges encountered or opportunities identified in the market.
  • DSA will develop relationships with key stakeholders at each location, as well as with produce team members/other departments, in an effort to build awareness of Oishii and excitement around the brand. 
    • This will be accomplished through seeding/sampling, supporting special employee events in-store, hosting trainings for team members, etc.
  • DSA will lead in-store customer facing demos, especially post launch (new regions and stores). 
  • DSA will be required to work approximately 25-28 hours per week, primarily weekdays between 8am-1pm for store visits and must have use of reliable transportation.

What we look for in a District Sales Associate:

  • You must be authorized to work in the US.
  • This is a Part Time role and your hours and schedule will vary from week to week. Typically shifts will take place weekdays between 3-8pm and on weekends. Holiday availability is also expected. Hours range from 10-30 hours a week depending on marketing activity. Schedules are released 2 weeks in advance. 
  • Prior brand ambassador or customer service experience is preferred but not required. If you have all of the ingredients to make a great ambassador we’d love to meet you! 
  • Valid driver’s license is required. Must have a reliable form of transportation, ideally your own vehicle that you can use to get to/from shift locations, which could be 5-40 miles from where you live (mileage and toll expenses are provided for longer distances).
  • Outgoing, personable individuals who enjoy meeting new people and want to gain experience in field marketing and retail strategies.
  • Someone that is proactive and self-sufficient and enjoys an ever changing work environment (as a BA, you’ll be working in many different locations). 
  • Individuals that consider themselves ‘Foodies’ and are interested in the future of agriculture and technology.
  • You are an excellent, responsive communicator as well as being proactive in providing feedback and problem solving.
