JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Shop Maintenance Position
OVERVIEW: Assist when needed in fleet and building maintenance responsibilities, maintain cleanliness of shop, and operate within the limits of a budget. This position reports directly to the Fleet and Maintenance Manager.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the maintenance and appearance of the fleet of vehicles
- Responsible for the maintenance of and appearance of the buildings and landscaping
- Assist in maintaining service records on all equipment
- Follow State and Federal laws in regards to vehicle safety
- Follow State and Federal laws in regards to work shop safety
- Assist in maintain MSDS on ALL chemicals that are brought into the shop
- Assist in handling all vehicle accidents at once
- Be able to troubleshoot and repair “light” mechanical problems
- Assist in service calls
- Be able to perform vehicle and equipment safety inspections
- Ensure that all registration and insurance information is current and present in all vehicles
- Adherence to safety rules and policies
- Performs other duties as required
