What we'll want you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or related field.
- 2+ years professional work experience as a JAVA software engineer.
- Intermediate and above level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business. Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of the following technologies will be highly regarded and some may be required depending on the position requirements:
- Java programming knowledge (OO, JVM, reflection, I/O, data structures)
- Socket programming
- Thread programming
- TCP/IP stack knowledge
- Advance SQL query procedure building
- JDBC, Oracle, or other RDBMS, SQLPlus
- Advance knowledge of XML and HTML 5
- Linux basics
- Performance and monitoring knowledge
- Design pattern experience
- API design
- ORM experience
- SOA knowledge
- Understanding of automation and deployment
Ability to obtain licensing, gaming card, or other certifications required by gaming regulations or jurisdictions. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong oral and written communication skills. A high degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving. Excellent organizational skills and an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements:
- Full time / 40 + Hours per week. Must be flexible for overtime, including evenings, weekends and Holidays as required.
- Must be comfortable working in a cubicle with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at the computer terminal for extended periods. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse and telephone. Position can be high stress and extremely fast paced. Ability to handle directive, assess situations, enter into dialogue and complete tasks. Must be able to communicate verbally and write in English.
